Physical silver: what's different from gold
The big difference is tax treatment: investment gold is exempt from VAT in Spain, but silver is not. That means buying physical silver costs an extra 21% you don't recover when selling, so silver needs a much bigger price rise just to break even.
Volume also matters: €10,000 worth of silver takes up and weighs far more than the same amount in gold, which raises storage and transport costs.
