White gold price today

White gold is fine gold alloyed with palladium, nickel or silver and usually plated with rhodium. Its market value is the same as yellow gold of the same purity: what changes is the color, not the amount of gold.

Is white gold worth more than yellow gold?

No. An 18k white gold ring and an 18k yellow gold ring both contain exactly 750 parts per thousand of fine gold, so the metal is worth the same. In stores, white gold sometimes costs a bit more because of the rhodium plating and the metals used in the alloy, such as palladium.

When you sell white gold, the buyer only values the fine gold it contains. Rhodium wears off over the years and isn't paid for; that's why a worn white piece is bought at the same price as its yellow equivalent.
