What do gold buyers pay for your gold today?
The market value of your gold depends on its weight and its purity. Cash-for-gold shops pay a share of that value: typically between 60% and 85%, depending on weight, purity and the shop itself.

Tips before you sell
Weigh your pieces on a precision scale and separate them by purity: the hallmark (750, 585, 375) shows the fineness. Gemstones, steel clasps and enamel are not paid as gold.
Always ask for the price per gram they are applying and compare it with the market value on this page. Higher weights give you more room to negotiate, and it's worth comparing two or three shops.
These figures are indicative: the quote changes every minute and every shop sets its own margin.
